A brand-new ladies football team has been formed in Charlbury. We will be playing in the Thames Valley Counties Women's Football League division 3 north next season and are looking to add a couple of players to our squad.

Come on over to the brand new Riverside Green Room this weekend, celebrating 30 wonderful Riverside years, and sponsored by Sustainable Charlbury. There's a great line up of speakers, particularly after my slot kicking the whole thing off! Along with the obvious highlight of Sally Wainwright following soon after me there will also be the opportunity to meet and hear Will Dennis on Sunday. Will is the recently appointed Nature Recovery Co-ordinator, engaged by the Town Council with funding support from - who else - Sustainable Charlbury.

I just want to say the most enormous thank you to Nathan and his team at The Bell, Charlbury. The Charlbury Community Centre hold a Pimms Stall at the Charlbury Beer Festival every year to raise funds for our charity that serves our whole community so well. We were overwhelmed by their generosity and the enthusiasm the team at The Bell had for helping us - they donated absolutely everything and their staff chopped 22 boxes of fruit too! Because of this, we raised just under £4,000.00 in just a few hours. We sold out! Also, a massive thank you to the team of Volunteers who manned the Pimms Stall in that blistering heat - they kept smiling and serving until the last drop!
We are so very fortunate to have the Daylesford family here in Charlbury, and a wonderful team of Volunteers. As Trustee for the Thomas Gifford Trust who run the Community Centre, may I extend heartfelt thanks to all those involved from myself and the Board of Trustees.
