Time to vote for the Charlbury Sausage

Thanks to everyone who entered the Great Charlbury Sausage Mash-up competition, to have the winning sausage made and on sale for the first Charlbury market of the season (1st June).

The shortlist is:

1. Pork, bacon and maple syrup

2. Pork, paprika, chilli and lime

3. Venison, pork, rosemary, sage and beetroot

Unfortunately the other entries didn't make it as Hook Norton Butchers deemed that these are the only options that would 'sausage'!.

So please cast you vote for your favourite here: https://charlbury-tc.gov.uk/the-great-charlbury-sausage-mash-up/

Or just send a message to the clerk.

Charlbury Fire Service to the rescue !

The amazing Caspar, Paul, Bob, Dale and Stanley - from Charlbury Fire Station on ladder practice at the Rose and Crown last night in the pouring rain. At the same time they were helping out by putting up house martin nesting bowls in hard to reach places.  There used to be hundreds of house martins in Charlbury and their numbers have plummeted.  The birds are due to arrive in the next week and so we wait to see if they take up the new homes.  Big Thank you guys and thank you to Nikki and John and Paul and Patrick.
