Apples to take away @ The Cornerstone
Lots and lots of October apple varieties are now available from The Cornerstone at the Corner House. EVERYONE is welcome to come and collect and enjoy our locally picked apples, so pop in anytime 10am-1pm Monday to Saturday. The hot drought this summer meant that lots of tiny apples fell off early but since there had been exceptional blossom in the spring this meant there were still lots more on the trees to reach normal size at the normal time. So this year is proving to be a bumper year for both apples and pears. Have started picking Bramleys but only the biggest and giving the rest the opportunity to get bigger over the next few weeks. The Sharecroppers page lists all the varieties known to be growing around Charlbury arranged in order of becoming ripe and marked when they are **AVAILABLE **.
