Thames Valley Police update

From the latest Neighbourhood Policing Newsletter:

"Members of the team conducted a speed check in Charlbury in response to residents' concerns when they spotted a vehicle carrying scrap metal. A couple of phone calls later and a flash of the blue lights resulted in West Oxfordshire District Council attending the scene and issuing the driver with a £300 fine for having no waste carriers licence.

"Another youth in Charlbury has now been interviewed in relation to a series of anti-social behaviour incidents. Four offences were admitted and the individual is now being dealt with by our Youth Offending Team. Remember, it's the calls from the public that count in these cases!

"There have been a number of shopliftings in both Chipping Norton and Charlbury, vigilance is required from shop keepers and the public alike."
