Library Consultation
Oxfordshire County Council have announced that the reduction in professional staffing for Charlbury Library will be one half instead of two-thirds. This is good news but could be better as Woodstock, with a similar population still retains two-thirds staffing and no logical explanation for this difference has been given. This decision has to be confirmed by the Cabinet and full Council. The Friends of Charlbury Library will be making representations for all libraries serving similar service hubs (places with shops, doctor's surgeries, vets, dentists, Post Offices etc.) to be treated equally.
