Charlbury resident wins District Council draw

One lucky householder from Charlbury has won £50 in West Oxfordshire District Council’s summer prize draw by recycling her Yellow Pages in one of the eight designated recycling banks this August. Ms Shelagh Scott of Dancer’s Hill, Charlbury recycled her Yellow Pages at the recycling bank in the Spendlove Centre and it was randomly selected.

Householders still have time to recycle their Yellow Pages and could be the lucky winner of £50 in September. The Charlbury recycling bank is at the Spendlove Centre.

All the old directories collected will be recycled into newspapers and magazines.

The old directories need to be collected separately and cannot be recycled through the normal weekly household recycling collections because of the special dyes used in the pages. The Council has been given a grant by the Yellow Pages Directory Scheme to place special recycling banks around the district to make it easier for local residents to recycle their old Yellow Pages directory.

Contact the Council on 01993 861020 for further information or visit www.westoxon.gov.uk or www.yellgroup.com or call the Directory Recycling Helpline on 0800 671 444 (Mon-Fri 8:30-5:30).
