CBF Culture programme announced

We are pleased to announce the Culture programme at the Charlbury Beer Festival on Saturday 27 June. As usual there will be a free family-friendly printmaking workshop from midday, led by local artist Anthony Lloyd, followed by a series of talks and discussions. Youth ambassador Bryanna Bone will introduce a series of TED talks by members of the Charlbury Youth Club (2.15) – Sally Sheppard, founder and director of Wyrdren Games, and lecturer in Game Design, Art, and Animation at the University of West London, will talk about ‘Working in games: industry, education, and the future of play’ (3.00) – Professor Michael Wooldridge FRS, Ashall Professor of the Foundations of Artificial Intelligence in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Oxford, will talk about the future of AI (3.45) – semi-retired globetrotters Martin Brown and Leigh McGinty on ‘Travellers’ tales: teaching Afghans in Peshawar and staging Oliver Twist in Phnom Penh’ (4.30) – and Tim Crisp of Sustainable Charlbury and Southill Solar will be in discussion with David Green, Head of Innovation at Blenheim … Please come and have your say about the future of green initiatives (5.15). Finally the Charlbury Ukulele Group will be on from 6.00 – everyone is welcome to come and join in!
