It's Show time......
Once again a few of CADS team are collaborating with the Chipping Norton Operatic Society ( Chaos ) in their upcoming musical "Anything Goes" music & lyrics by Cole Porter
Anything Goes is a lively musical set aboard the SS American, following romantic entanglements, disguises, and comedic chaos as a stowaway tries to win the heart of an engaged heiress.
Set in the early 1930s, the musical takes place on the ocean liner SS American, sailing from New York to London. The story revolves around Billy Crocker, a young Wall Street broker who has fallen in love with Hope Harcourt, an heiress engaged to the stuffy British nobleman Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. To pursue her, Billy stows away on the ship, setting off a series of farcical events. The musical features Reno Sweeney, a glamorous nightclub singer and former evangelist, and Moon face Martin, a hapless gangster, who assist Billy in his quest for love.
Performances at the Chipping Norton theatre start Thursday 7th May - Saturday 9th May at 7.30pm( with a matinee performance on Saturday 9th at 2.30pm )
