Trustee roles available at Charlbury Community Centre
Would you like to be more involved with the Charlbury community?
Interested in shaping future plans for the Community Centre?
Thomas Gifford Trust, which owns and manages Charlbury Community Centre, is looking for two new trustees.
All trustees meet every 2 months (on a Wednesday at 8pm) and are responsible for both the forward-looking strategic decisions about the running of the Community Centre, and also the ongoing management of the trust.
We invite any member of our community to get involved. We aim to provide something for people of all ages and with diverse interests so it is important that we ensure the trustees are representative of our area as a whole. Younger adults are encouraged to join us at this time and note that the time commitment is not too demanding alongside work and / or family. It is a rewarding role, and you will receive a warm welcome.
Keen to help Charlbury move towards net zero?
We're looking for someone who will focus on environmental issues relating to the community centre, specifically our ambition to reach net zero. We would like to maximise energy efficiency following installation of our new solar panels.
Can you help us get the word out about all that the Community Centre has to offer?
Come help us with social media and communications! We are also looking for someone who can keep Charlbury informed about what we’re doing, let people know about new classes, sessions and events, and who can encourage community members who have never been in to come and explore what’s happening at the Centre.
If you want to learn more about what may be involved, please get in touch with Chris Potts, Chair of TG Trust (message or call 07765 242315) or Daniela Jenkins, Executive Manager (07979 706090).
We look forward to meeting all interested community members!
