A small request about reporting issues in town

As Town Clerk, I regularly receive messages asking me to report things like potholes, broken street lights, graffiti, fly-tipping, blocked gullies, dog fouling, dead trees/branches or other problems around town.

While I’m always happy to help, these reports are made through FixMyStreet — and anyone can report directly in just a couple of minutes.

In fact, it’s usually better coming straight from the person who has spotted the issue. You can:

Pinpoint the exact location on the map

Upload a photo

Add the detail while it’s fresh

Track updates directly

If you send it to me or the Town Council, I simply log it on FixMyStreet on your behalf — which adds an extra step.

FixMyStreet is designed for reporting things that are broken, dirty, damaged or dumped and need fixing, cleaning or clearing — such as:

Potholes

Street lights not working

Graffiti

Dog fouling

Fly-tipping

Tree issues

If something isn’t covered under FixMyStreet, it will be redirected to the appropriate organisation.

You can report here:

 www.fixmystreet.com

Of course, if something is urgent, please do contact me. But where possible, reporting directly helps issues get to the right authority more quickly.

Thank you — it really does make a difference.
