Charlbury Community Workshop's work recognised
Charlbury Community Workshop was recently sent the attached screen shot by the Oxfordshire Ladies County Golf Association (see their website:https://www.olcga.org.uk/news ).
Their County Shield Trophy was very much showing its age and, what is more, no longer had any space free to affix plates with the names of the winners each year so they turned to us for help. Members of our Workshop (in the photo Dave and Mike) took up the challenge of repairing the shield where it was falling apart and also shaping and fitting an additional ring of oak to the shield to accommodate future winners’ plaques for decades to come. In effect the shield has been rebuilt, a job taking many hours of work.
The OLCGA were thrilled with the restored shield and were kind enough to post the news and photo on their website.
