Christmas cards for sale in aid of Ukraine
Slatyne is a small town about the same distance from Karkiv (on the border with Russia) as Charlbury is from Oxford. The churches of St Mary’s, Charlbury and Our Lady of Kassan, Slatyne have developed a firm link. We have regular Zoom communications with them to chat about how they are coping in such war-torn conditions and what we can do to help. Their needs change from day to day but currently their three wells have been badly damaged and need repairing to ensure fresh clean water.
With continued support for Slatyne in mind, I have produced two Christmas cards this year from pencil drawings of St Mary’s in the snow.
