COVID BOOSTER VACCINATIONS

Covid vaccination boosters at Charlbury Medical Centre

COVID-19 is more serious in older people and in people with certain underlying health conditions.

Charlbury Medical Centre will offer covid vaccination boosters this spring to people who are eligible to receive the vaccination. This group includes people who are:

  • are aged 75 (you are 75 on or before 30 June 2023), or aged over 75
  • live in a care home for older adults
  • are aged 5 or over and have a weakened immune system

Please do not phone the surgery to enquire about the booster vaccination clinics.  They have no information at the moment about the timing of the clinics which depends upon availability of the vaccine.

As soon as the practice has details, eligible patients will be contacted.

Catching up with missed doses

If you have not yet had either of your first 2 doses of the vaccine (or a third dose for those with a weakened immune system) you should have them as soon as possible.

More information is available here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-vaccination-spring-booster-resources/a-guide-to-the-covid-19-spring-booster-2023

Thank you for your co-operation.
