Charlbury Museum's new stone carved sign
If you are passing by the museum please wander into the garden and take a look at the museum's new sign, created by stone carver Ben Williams, of Charlbury.
Carved in York stone and featuring a beautifully carved gauntlet, an appropriate image from Charlbury's historic gloving trade.
The sign was commissioned by Charlbury Museum in memory of Jennifer Bartlett (1935 - 2020), Jennifer was born in the town and had a long association with both the museum and the Charlbury Society. She was a talented artist, and the museum wished commemorate her life by commissioning a contemporary work from another Charlbury artist/craftsperson.
