CRAG donations of clothing, blankets, sleeping bags etc.

In the past month, members of St Mary’s Church have been extremely generous, dedicating their Harvest Festival appeal this year to the theme of Refugees.

At least a car load of donations piled up in the Church and we have now sorted and stored them to go to Care4Calais. Most especially welcome for refugees in the Calais area were a large number of blankets, sleeping bags and tents. The adult clothes are also extremely welcome, and will be offered first to Ukrainian guests living in Charlbury.

The Baptist Church has been extremely generous too: hosting language lessons several times a week, and also arranging for us to use space to set out the clothes for Ukrainian guests to select from.

The Ukrainian family who are moving to Witney at the end of this month will benefit from donations of household goods. Still needed are: an iron, saucepans, and rugs.

All of us at CRAG are hugely grateful to all those in an around Charlbury who have been so generous with their donations.

Please keep them coming!  We will be arranging the next full van load for Care4Calais in the next four weeks or so. Please see the list of priority items and take any donations to Alice at White Hart, Market Street, Charlbury, OX7 3PH (phone 01608 238274; email alice.prochaska@some.ox.ac.uk)

Thank you!
