Forest Road 30mph extension now open for consultation

Ahead of a number of traffic proposals this year, a minor extension to the 30mph limit beyond the station.

We are writing to seek your views on the proposal to extend the existing 30mph speed limit on the B4437 Forest Road. The extended limit will replace part of the existing 60mph National Speed Limit by approximately 145 metres to cover the proposed new junction with the access road to the ‘Rushy Bank’ residential development. In light of this, please find the following consultation documents attached:

Public Notice,

Statement of Reasons,

Consultation Plan, and

Draft Traffic Regulation Order.

The proposed Traffic Regulation Order is scheduled to have been advertised in the Oxford Times today, Thursday 17th March 2022, and details are also available to view on the Councils consultation portal at the address below:

As stated on the notice, any objections or other representations on the proposal should be submitted by Friday 15th April 2022.
