Reminder: Domestic Abuse Awareness Training in Charlbury

Reducing the Risk is running a domestic abuse awareness workshop in Charlbury in collaboration with WODC, and supported by Charlbury Town Council. It takes place this coming Monday 13 December, 11am - 1pm at Charlbury Community Centre.

We encourage representatives from local service-providers, businesses, clubs and groups to attend.

A 2019 study discovered that domestic abuse in rural areas is under-reported by 50% compared to urban areas, and victims suffer for 25% longer than urban survivors. The lockdown and other social pressures during the COVID pandemic made the situation even more difficult. While many of us want to be able to do more about this critical issue, we may not see or recognise the signs of abuse or, having noticed something untoward, we are not confident what action to take.

If you want to help reduce the risk of rural domestic abuse, please book a place. Contact Stewart at: contact@reducingtherisk.org.uk
