Charlbury is in the Sunday Times' 100 Best Places to Live list again

The Sunday Times publishes its annual “100 Best Places to Live” list this weekend, and for the second year running, Charlbury is one of them.

Town highlights picked out by the guide include CADS, the Deli, and the Bull, plus events such as Street Fair and the Beer Festival.

The national winner was Stroud, on the other side of the Cotswolds. Charlbury was the only Oxfordshire location in the list.

The Sunday Times’ property editor, Helen Davies, said: “Our focus for this year has been community, countryside and convenience. It hasn’t been a year for big cities or small villages. Instead it is small towns that have shone: big enough to have everything you need within walking distance and small enough for everyone to feel connected.”

The full article is behind a paywall on the Sunday Times website but will be in Sunday’s paper. The Oxford Mail has a brief write-up of the report.
