Museum booklet available on Saturday

Thank you to everyone who came to our stall at the Farmers Market on Saturday and bought our latest booklet.  We were delighted with how many we sold, with people buying them for themselves and as presents for their children or friends who used to live in Charlbury.

Possibly our most glamorous customer was the High Sheriff of Oxfordshire who went round all the stalls in the welcome sunshine.  She and her husband have a keen interest in local history and worked hard to restore the Sarsden washpool near Churchill where sheep were traditionally washed to clean their fleeces of mud and dung.

If you missed us at the market, don't despair!  We will be selling our booklets and museum teatowels outside the Corner House on Saturday morning.  (If wet, we will be sheltering in the doorway of the Museum.)

Copies are £8 each   64 pages in colour, fully illustrated.  For more details contact us by email: info@charlburymuseum.org.uk or phone 819133 /  07530 012332
