Laser attacks on aircraft near Charlbury

A young trainee pilot suffered a suspected laser burn to his eye after a laser attack from a site in or near Chipping Norton (at 19.15 on Tuesday Feb. 4th). The Oxford Mail reports that the pilot managed to land the plane safely, and was taken to the JR for treatment. It's hoped he will make a full recovery, but it's also stated that he may be unable to pursue a career in aviation.. 

There was a second attack, involving a different pilot, the next day. This took place 3 miles north of Charlbury (at 17.45 on Wednesday Feb. 5th). 

The attacker(s) used a green laser pen.  If anyone noticed anything or has relevant information, they should contact the police, quoting reference number 43200040257. The investigating officer is PC Renee Gabbey-Cristofini, based at Banbury police station. Or it is possible to to report anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
