Charlbury Honoured Citizen Award
Following the presentation of the inaugural Charlbury Honoured Citizen Award to Ken and Margaret Taylor in January last year, the town council is now inviting nominations for presentation during Spring 2020. Nominations for the 2020 award must be received by 31st January 2020 at the latest.
An Honoured Citizen Award is a tribute to an individual who has given dedicated voluntary service, probably over many years, and as a consequence has made a significant positive difference to the Community and to the lives of residents.
Nominations are invited for current or former Charlbury residents who have given outstanding service to the town. All nominations must be proposed and seconded by two current Charlbury residents, neither of whom are related to the nominee. Serving members and employees of the Town Council are not eligible for the award, nor may they propose or second any nominations. Regrettably, awards cannot be made posthumously.
