John Stanley
As the result of a heart attack early yesterday evening, Thursday 10 September, John Stanley died.
John was walking from the station to his home when he collapsed at the top of Dyers Hill.
Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, including the attendance of the air ambulance, he was declared dead at the scene.
He will be known by many due to his commitment to our railway line generally and to the Cotswold Line Promotion Group particularly.
John's next of kin have been informed and funeral arrangements will be announced when known.
