Oxfordshire County Council survives

Oxford City Council's proposal to split Oxfordshire into three unitary authorities has been rejected by the Government.

West Oxfordshire District Council and Oxfordshire County Council were both opposed to the City Council plan, but other district councils had given it qualified support.
