The 16th Charlbury Beer Festival: a resounding success

The Committee of the 2013 Charlbury Beer Festival are pleased to confirm that this year's event was the most successful yet. Co-Chairs Jo Elliott and Liz Donnelly will be thanking all our sponsors personally in due course, when the final figures are known, but they have issued a statement to say: 'It's clear that this year's Beer Festival has generated a record-breaking total of more than £20,000 net to be granted to local charities over the coming year, with an additional £3,500 of net income made by the four local charities running their own stands at the event. This is absolutely fantastic - and thanks to all for your support.'

We have already received our first grant application for 2013-14, and we look forward to receiving many more over the coming 12 months. Plans are already under way for the 2014 event, under the chairmanship of Nick Millea - see the CBF's new website for full details.
