ChOC enlarges its committee and announces next films

At its AGM last night, three new members were elected to the committee, making a total of ten. The new faces are Rob and Nikki Frankum and Margaret Landale.

The films for August and September were also chosen. On Sunday August 19 ChOC will screen 'The Woman in Black', the thriller based on a novel by Susan Hill which gives Daniel Radcliffe his first screen role after Harry Potter.

And on Sunday September 9 the audience will see 'Salmon Fishing in the Yemen', a hilarious adaptation of Paul Torday's bestseller of the same name.

Both films begin at 7.30 in the Memorial Hall, doors and bar open at 6.45, both are cert 12, and tickets are £5 on the door (ages 12-15, £3).
