Permissive Cycle Route Confirmed at Cornbury Park

Charlbury Cycling Group and Cornbury Park Estate are pleased to announce that a permissive cycle route will be open to cyclists from Easter until the end of October and during the Wilderness Festival in August. The opening of the route follows a successful three month trial period last summer. The route will run from the North Lodge entrance of the estate to the Southill Business Park and on to the Witney Road. It will follow the line of the present footpath and use the recently surfaced route around the gatehouse.

The route will allow safe off-road access to and from Charlbury and Finstock and will provide a safer alternative to the Fawler Road. Users are asked to remember this is a permissive route and that they should give way to walkers and respect wildlife. They should also take care on the access road between Southill Business Park and the Witney Road. The route will be signed to ensure both cyclists and walkers are aware of it.
