Art Society Spring Show News Update

In addition to the normal exhibition of Art Society members' work in the Memorial Hall on 24th March there will be a special exhibition of Daphne Clark's paintings in the Green Room. All this will take place in conjunction with the Garden Society Show and entry is free.
Daphne has very generously offered to donate the proceeds from any sales to Médecins Sans Frontières, a charity for which she has a profound admiration.

Daphne says "I enjoyed painting from a very early age, but rarely had any opportunity apart from holidays to pursue it in a systematic way. However, I have experimented with all sorts of media- watercolour, pastels, oils and a little lino-cutting over the years".
Music has also played an important part in Daphne's life and she has played the piano on many occasions in Charlbury. The money raised by her concerts has enabled the grand piano to be donated to the Memorial Mall.
