Stanley Spencer Cookham Visit

Charlbury Art Society is organising an outing to the Stanley Spencer Gallery on Thursday 15th March.

The current exhibition is called 'In Focus' and includes Stanley Spencer paintings and works on paper. A number of paintings from their permanent collection will also be on view, including The Last Supper and Christ Preaching at Cookham Regatta.

The gallery is small, allowing access to a maximum group of 40 people. The day will include a Walk and Talk guided tour, a walk around Spencer's 'Village of Heaven' to see the places which inspired him and then a tour of the gallery.

There are several places to eat within minutes of the gallery, so visitors can make their own arrangements for lunch.

The return coach fare is £14.00 for non-members (£12.00 for members).
Entry for the Walk and Talk guided tour is £10.00. The coach will leave Spendlove Car Park at 09.00 a.m. sharp and will leave Cookham at 3.00 p.m. for the return journey.

If you would like to join the trip please call Julia Reid (tel. 01993 868 457)
