Charlbury Library

From Monday 18 August volunteers will be helping to keep Charlbury Library open. Volunteers will be responsible for running the library on Monday mornings and afternoons and on Friday mornings. On Wednesday afternoons a volunteer will be assisting the library manager.
Please remember to bring your library card with you if you want to borrow books. Volunteers will not have access to the library service computer and will not be able to issue or reserve books. The self-service machine will be in operation to issue or renew books using a library card and the public computers will be available as usual.
Volunteers are not allowed to issue DVDs because of legal restrictions to do with the age of borrowers and the suitability of the material. DVDs can only be issued when the library manager is present, i.e. on Wednesday afternoon and evening, Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.
There are bound to be some problems at first as we get used to the new arrangements. Please be patient and give the volunteers your support.
