Charlbury WI

Charlbury's thriving WI comprises a group of women of all ages. Our get togethers are informal and entertaining and our monthly programme provides something of interest for everyone. Of course, being the WI, we always treat ourselves to coffee, tea and delicious home-made cake during the evening! Monthly meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month beginning at 7.30pm and take place at Charlbury Memorial Hall, Brown’s Lane (as from May 2025). 

Charlbury WI is part of the Oxfordshire Federation of Women’s Institutes, 5 Court Farm Barns, Medcroft Road, Tackley, Oxfordshire OX5 3AL (https://www.oxfordshirewi.co.uk)

WI Annual Subscription: From 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2027 the full annual membership of Charlbury WI is £54. Any new members joining in subsequent quarters of the year will be charged the pro rata rate.

Other Activities for Members:

Book Club:

The book club meets every 6 weeks. Books chosen are deliberately varied to encourage members to try new authors and genres and generate lively discussion. 

Craft and Cuppa at Charlbury Bowls Club: 

Third Saturday of the month from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Organised by Charlbury WI but non WI members are also very welcome to join in these relaxed community crafting sessions. Bring along whatever you're working on and enjoy a chat over a tea/coffee and biscuit. Not a crafter? Come along anyway and enjoy the company. Sessions cost £3.50 per person including refreshments to cover costs
