Meet the Author Jan Harvey

Local author and artist Jan Harvey will be appearing at Chipping Norton Library on Thursday 29th June at 7pm. Jan's debut novel The Seven Letters was published in February to great reviews.

The Seven Letters follows the story of Claudette Bourvil who is recruited to the French Resistance in Paris. Constantly under threat of discovery, Claudette risks everything when she falls in love with the wrong man. Over seventy years later, in a rural Oxfordshire town based on Charlbury, Connie Webber discovers seven letters linked to a famous playwright, Freddy March. The letters lead Connie to Paris where she discovers the horrific reason behind Freddy's lifelong depression. As his mother's story unfolds Connie uncovers a dark past that the city has tried to erase from history.

Jan will tell us about how The Seven Letters came about and field any questions about the book. The Seven Letters is available in many Oxfordshire libraries including Charlbury. You can also buy a signed copy on the night.

The event is free! Please telephone the Chipping Norton Library on 01608 643559 or email to book your place.

If you can't make the 29th June, Jan will also be appearing at Woodstock Library on Wednesday 12th July at 7pm.
