We are a friendly, diverse group of women of all ages, and are always very pleased to see new faces at our monthly meetings. We often have speakers, but other months we get 'hands-on' - see our 2017 calendar below. Our get togethers are geared up to be informal and entertaining, with the programme hopefully providing something of interest for everyone. We always treat ourselves to coffee and home-made cake during the evening!
Charlbury WI meet at 7.30pm on the third Wednesday in the month in the Memorial Hall. The 2017 subscription fee is £39. For more information please e-mail Louise Cashman on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Keep up to date with what we're up to: details about forthcoming meetings are listed on the Events page of the Charlbury website; our own website went live in January 2017 www.charlburywi.org; and we can be found on social media using @charlburywi (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest).
You can take advantage of a wide range of courses on crafts and cookery, available to members, non-members, men and women at the WI's national training centre, Denman College www.denmancollege.org.uk which is very local to us at Marcham near Abingdon.
Charlbury WI started a Yack & Yarn group in September 2014 which meets on the first Tuesday of the month at The Bell (7.30-9.30pm). This is an open group and you do not need to be a WI member to join in. All crafters are welcome to bring along any project that they have on the go and have a drink and chat as they stitch, sew, knit or crochet!
