Facilities Questionnaire

Charlbury has over 100 different organisations, societies and clubs that make use of a range of recreational, meeting and educational facilities existing in the town. These facilities range from the Corner House and War Memorial Hall that are held in trust for the town, through the primary school and halls owned by various churches as well as rooms in public houses. There are also planned improvements to facilities at the Spendlove site, with the provision of a sports hall and a shared community space including a new public library.

As part of the Community-Led Plan, we have been seeking the views of members and users of organisations about the existing and planned community facilities. If we are to plan ahead for the needs of the growing community of Charlbury, we need to know whether what we have is adequate, has capacity to grow, meets the needs of current and future residents, and whether we need to change, improve or replace these facilities.

A group representing the town's facilities is now meeting regularly to plan the way forward. If you are involved with a public building or other such facility in Charlbury and haven't been approached, please contact Liz Reason at liz@lizreason.co.uk .
