Charlbury WI

Charlbury has a thriving WI which comprises a diverse group of women of all ages, and we are always very pleased to welcome new faces at our monthly meetings. Our get togethers are informal and entertaining, with our programme providing something of interest for everyone. And, being the WI, we always treat ourselves to coffee, tea and delicious home-made cake during the evening!

Charlbury WI meets at 7.30pm on the third Wednesday of the month in the Memorial Hall. The 2018 subscription fee is £41. New members joining the WI for the first time can pay a pro-rata subscription depending on the quarter in which they join. For more information please e-mail Margaret Jowett on

Forthcoming meetings are listed on the Events page of the Charlbury website, also on our own website, Charlbury WI here, and we can be found on social media using @charlburywi (Facebook & Twitter).

Yack & Yarn: Charlbury WI started a Y&Y group in September 2014. We meet on the first Tuesday of the month at The Bell (7.30-9.30pm). This is an open group, you do not need to be a WI member to join in. All crafters are welcome to bring along any project that they have on the go and have a drink and chat as they stitch, sew, spin, knit or crochet! Need a little help on a project? Someone in the group will be able to offer practical advice.

Denman College: The WI's National Training Centre at Marcham near Abingdon is open to WI members and non-members. Visit the website here to view the wide range of craft, cookery and lifestyle courses available.
