The museum has some tobacco plants (Nicotiana) for sale which have been grown on from some seedlings kindly donated to our plant sale last month. Strong healthy plants with well-established root systems.
On sale in the museum garden from 9.45am - limited number, so come early to avoid disappointment.

Charlbury Green Hub has been running this local refill service for environmentally-safe detergents since 2018. Use your own bottles for refill or buy a new filled SESI bottle for easy refilling. Now in 2025 we also stock the professional grade citric acid toilet cleaner.

The 2025 Summer Reading Challenge, Story Garden, celebrates adventure, fantasy and the great outdoors. The Challenge starts this Saturday, is open to all children and is free to join - you just need your own library card. There's the Mini Challenge for ages 0-3 and the Main Challenge for ages 4+. Children can set their own reading goals over the Summer Holidays but we suggest at least 6 books to get all their stickers and the final medal and certificate at the end. There's even a golden ticket for those that complete the challenge to enter into a prize draw for a goodie bag. See poster for more information.

On areas not normally open to the public, you are invited to take in special trees, wildflower mixes, crops, ponds, a recently discovered sheep wash as well as a display of horse logging, so guests can enjoy the beauty and diversity within Ditchley.

Bring a photo of large items to put on the notice board rather than bring them along on the day.
You can also bring along old spectacles, unwanted bras, used printer ink cartridges, dead batteries, broken lightbulbs, and used water filter cartridges - please put them in the boxes by the door.
Items are given and taken FREE so please respect this community spirit by not taking things for resale or scrap value. Leftovers are given to charities or Freecycled.

A moving and thought-provoking talk about the Holocaust by speaker Jeremy Sharpe. Jeremy will cover the background to historical events of the era and share his understanding of the talk title - It Could Have Been Me - which refers as much to being an enabler of the horrors as to being a victim of them.
