Wed 27 May, 12:56 (last edited on Thu 28 May, 11:14) The first two talks were well attended, and gave a glimpse (to no-one's surprise) of the width & depth of Charlburians' knowledge and enthusiasms. The talk originally scheduled for tonight has been cancelled, and so the next will be on Wednesday 17 June: Nick Millea, curator of maps at the Bodleian, speaking on "The Message in the Map". (6.30 for 7.00 pm, refreshments provided, entry free, donations welcome.) July's talk, on Thursday 16th, will be on "Lowland Rescue"; and then for something a little different in the summer we're planning a musical talk on London in the Music Hall Era - Wednesday 5 August (book the date now!). Would you like to share an enthusiasm of yours in the autumn? Why not get in touch with me (07555 608780, john@pjohnp.me.uk) to discuss it? |
