Openreach FTTP in Ticknell Piece

I recently spoke to a telecom engineer who was walking past our house in Sandford Park, and who asked whether the paths are adopted and if not who owns them.

His explanation matched Steve Jones's assessment. There would be excavation work necessary at some point. He didn't indicate timescales.

There was some Openreach work going on by the Fiveways junction a couple of days ago, which looked like a new main cable being run through the existing ducts.

I have just been chatting to an Openreach employee who was part of a gang working near the drive entry to my house, and they were busily installing the flexible plastic tubes down the telephone conduits in Ticknell Piece. This is a precursor to running full fibre to the property…
