There’s no such thing as a free lunch? Or is there? Probus Club of Charlbury is a men's club and we would like to invite prospective members to come along and meet us for lunch at Witney Lakes Resort on Wednesday 5th February Its a chance to meet new people, have a good lunch and listen to an interesting talk. The next talk in February will be presented by Phil Roberts who has been a Patten maker for a quarter of a century –hardly any time at all in the long history of this ancient livery company. In this light hearted talk he will explain the origins and traditions of the company who originally made shoes, and provide a more serious account of the role and future for the 100+ livery companies in the City of London.
