Hi Everyone!
I'm SO happy and grateful to now be working in the Corner House in my very own office space! BIG thank you to the Bell and the Bull who have put up with me squatting in their lovely spaces for months, buried in my laptop.
I am taking on my second part-time apprentice this week as my community work expands beyond Charlbury. I am leading multiple community projects across Oxfordshire including: - Drone Football League - Where STEM meets SPORT. We are starting foundations teams this Saturday 7th March at the Memorial Hall. Charlbury Team sign ups are open: https://oxie.org.uk/drone-football/
- Oxford University Innovation Day: 20th July, 2026, Saïd Business School, 9am-3pm. The day will include Robotics Exhibitions, AI Workshops, and a Speech Ceremony. Students beta-testing my novel, The Dawn of AI, at home or in schools, will be able to attend. Sign-ups are also open for the Future Voices competition where students can write a speech about what they believe the future of AI should look like. Learn more and sign up here: https://oxie.org.uk/future-voices/
- Youth Voice App - I am building a focus group of students age 11-18 who will lead the creation of a gamified youth survey app. This would be beta-tested this summer in West Oxfordshire District Council. Once pilot stage is complete, the plan is to roll out nationally across local authorities. Right now, we are still in the application stage, but multiple meetings with the council have taken place and the proposal is apparently "very popular". Exciting!
If any adults are also interested in getting involved with these projects, please don't hesitate to reach out! Thank you to everyone for allowing me to use Charlbury as a launching pad for my career in education and youth empowerment. I'm very lucky and honoured to be a part of such a supportive and thriving community. My very best, Bryanna Bone bbone@oxie.org.uk
