Fri 11 Jul, 11:22 (last edited on Fri 11 Jul, 11:24) Thanks for your comment - Anna H, as I wrote in my forum reply yesterday they would have been using the raised solid iron fire pit I provided as a much safer alternative to regular campfires, which I have strongly banned. If this wasn’t the case and the fire was on the floor in your video then of course I will be contacting them and reiterating rules to all. I would please ask that full awareness of what is and isn’t allowed is known before videoing strangers and their children - but thank you for keeping an eye. Further general note - the family in question have already been disturbed and questioned by a trespassing neighbour who entered the private land yesterday despite signs and laws etc - any unauthorised entry will be noticed and reported - CCTV going up viewing the entry in the coming days, as I previously wrote. James S - the notion that a young person’s small business start up needs to be significant enough to immediately employ or personally benefit other locals directly doesn’t make much sense and would rule out A LOT of small lowly funded rural self initiative - I’m doing 99% myself and am glad the site isn’t substantial enough to warrant staff because that surely would warrant even more unsupportive views. However, already there are campers enjoying our local businesses around Charlbury - ‘indirect’ if you will. James, regarding my family ownership of ‘The Slade’ - I was referring to The Slade access road from the B4022 junction running up to the end past Graces Court - not the B4022 itself. Hope that clears that up - I’ve amended my original comment. Finally, direct site neighbours such as Graces Court and the entire line of properties running the west of the field down the hill are all gladly standing upon the same once fully empty field where this entirely impermanent venture is under questioning - as permanent properties and gardens are continued to be happily enjoyed it might be worth reminding this fact. Live and let live! Many thanks for support 😊 |
