Fri 8 Feb 2019, 17:55 Thousands of people across England will be gazing hopefully up at the stars this weekend – not in an attempt to forecast the next twist of Brexit, but to map out areas of light pollution and genuine darkness. Clear skies are expected over much of the country for the start of the Star Count, which kicks off on Saturday and will run for three weeks, to 23 February. Participants are being asked to concentrate on the constellation of Orion, which graces the UK’s skies in winter and is easily identifiable. |
