Apparently the popular names for the moons originate with the native Americans of the north eastern US. Not to put a damper on the glorious sight outside right now, but it is also known as the hunger moon.  More from NASA, the Perseverance people.

Just Google like I did, a full moon in February is typically at a time when there is heavy snow, certainly true in years in the past,  the snow was piled 10ft high on the road to Chipping Norton when I went to CN to have my first baby on 27th February 1963
