Thanks for this generous support. As with most construction works, we have to suffer a little short-term pain for long-term gain. When completed, the clubhouse will add a new dimension to the social life of the town.

Charlbury Town Football and Sports Club would like to apologise for the disruption caused to the businesses and users of the Spendlove Centre this morning while the concrete for the footings of the new clubhouse was delivered to site.

The scale of the operation frankly surprised us but we understand that the major part of the work will be complete by early afternoon today. In future, we are making arrangements for some of the workers' vehicles to be parked away from the Spendlove area.

Meanwhile, we repeat our apologies to those affected today.
