Just shows how good your website is. We even looked at it when sailing on The Mekong in Laos. Very many thanks.

I think that should be resolved now but I’ll keep an eye on it.

Thanks for all the kind comments. I was tickled to see an article in the Guardian describing the closure of the Harlow Star newspaper today. It mentions a town website (‘YourHarlow’) that “receives 170,000 page views a month, which is a significant achievement”.

That’s pretty much the same number of page views we get (it goes up to 200,000ish in the summer months). And Charlbury at 3,000 residents is a bit smaller than Harlow at 82,000!

Just want to check if having notifications of a new message once logged in, Mail(1), but no new message actually being there is something others have? Is this something that needs fixing? Or is it just my account?

Yep, it’s on the cards. But I thought it more sensible to redo the backend before redoing the frontend, not least because the layout is now cleanly separated from the code in a way it wasn’t before.

Any plans to make the website mobile responsive? I would be surprised if the majority of visits weren't from mobile. Having to rely on Chrome simplify view.

Like button hmmm who you selling the data too? I had logon issue too - Linux Firefox - but it does seem to have gone now that I've logged out and in again. Like the new screen font.

There’s always going to be a few glitches after a big upgrade. Thanks so much to Richard for his hard work and quick issue fixes. I don’t know how you find the time but it is much appreciated.

The login issue should be fixed now (or, at least, next time you log in). Still working on the time issue. (Edit: time issue fixed now too!)

I don't have a problem.  I use Chrome and MS Edge.  I wonder if your browsers are cleaning out your cookies when you log out?

Not  only do I have to log in each time, I am also told each time  that my email address is not recognised,  I think it is a conspiracy !

I also have run into the need to log in each time I open the site, which wasn't the case before the move.  I already flagged this up to Richard.

I'm not sure if this is a website problem or my use of Firefox and Linux but I have to login each time I visit the site.  I do have a saved login for the site in the browser preferences, but that seems to be ignored.

Not a major problem, I agree, but a bit annoying, hence the query!

Minor glitch that I'm sure Richard F will be on top of soon.  A server setting overlooked, perhaps, or a plot by the EU to force the good citizens of Charlbury to use European time (except that the server does not seem to be located in the EU).

Hmm. Perhaps more complicated... Still posting at 13:01.

It's because the server is in Helsinki, which I believe is sunnier than Charlbury right now although a bit colder. Working on a fix.

Great to have styles

  1. And numbering.
  2. And to be able to expand to full screen.

Bravo Richard!

A huge step forward.

I also like the hyperlinks for planning applications, and the ability to format messages.

Thank you.
