Was the hole where the ironstone mine tunnel went under the road? It's probably due to fall in!

Whilst we'er on the subject of pot-holes, watch out if you go to Witney via West End as there is a very deep hole (a sunken previous trench across the road) somewhere between the two mini-roundabouts.
I found it this afternoon and even though going slowly it was quite a shock to both me and the car!

The 15.25pm S3 diverted through Stonesfield and did not serve Fawler.
