September's quiz and Author talk at the Community Centre

And what a quiz it's going to be! (Not that I might in any way be biased in saying so, of course ....) As of Sunday, a few tickets are still available from the Community Centre reception, and it would be great to have another full house this month.

Please note that this months' quiz is a week earlier than usual, on Wednesday 19th September and is hosted by Simon Walker. This is because there is the first Local Authors Talk on the 26th, when Geoffrey Strachan will be talking about the works of Andre Makine, which he translates from the French.
Quiz and author talk tickets are now on sale at the Community Centre reception, all £5. Sales are currently a bit slow, but we often sell out at the last minute, so please get them as soon as you can. You can ring up and pay with your card over the phone to reserve tickets: 01608 811878.
