I seem to remember that King Cnut's attempt to turn back the waves was to prove to his followers that he was not all powerful. I haven't noticed President Trump showing any evidence of such humility.

I heard that someone has written in a wheatfield outside Woodstock, crop-circle stylee, a welcome message to the Beast from the West that can be read from passing helicopters. It says: TRUMP = CNUT. I presume it is referring to King Cnut* who was of course the King of England 1,000 years ago. I am not sure I get the connection between Trump and the Great Cnut but there must be a reason they did it.
