Scam recorded phone call

Thank you for the warning Andrew I had similar few weeks back, most annoying!

I have just received a call from 01602 986328 with a robotic voice telling me my internet was no longer working (incorrect as you can see) and had been hijacked by Mexico.
I was told to press 1 to transfer all my my calls to BT, which I did not do, of course, but I am simply warning others to be aware of this and simply to put the phone down.
The 01602 code is not a UK geographical area code but comes from an area in Eastern Europe somewhere around Prague as you can see in the info at https://www.ukphoneinfo.com/area-code/01602
