I've always received excellent service and advice. We are so lucky to have a good local surgery.

Put simply, one of the three GP partners retired / left, but no full time replacement.

There are doctors, it's just that due to increasing demand and the need to spend more time looking after people with long term conditions, there is now a GP access hub operating in 4 hubs in the county. These hubs accept requests for appointments form GPS where they consider a same day appointment is needed when your own surgery is too busy to see you. What's going on is that you appear to be receiving a very good, new additional service.
