Overflowing sewer on Hixet Wood

After this evening's cloudburst, there is contaminated water again flowing down the kerbside from the junction with Woodfield Drive towards the centre of town. Beware!

Problem fixed - so well done Thames Water for doing so in two-and-a-half hours. Having spoken with the crew who came out, it appears that someone had kindly dumped a big knot of rag into the system.

Folks - just be aware that the manhole at the junction of Hixet Wood and Woodfield Drive was leaking sewage into the street this afternoon. I've reported it to Thames Water, who say it will be investigated "within 24 hours".
